Configuring Your Trunk With 3CX v20
About 3CX v20

Pre-requisites
Download and install 3CX v20
Configure basic settings for your 3CX instance
Create a SIP trunk on the Wiretap Portal and assign DID(s) to your trunk.
Step 1: Configure Admin —> Advanced Settings
First, we’ll configure our network settings:
Click on the “admin” cog on the bottom left-hand side of the console and select Advanced
Select the IP Blacklist tab and be sure to allow the appropriate Wiretap IPs. These can be found in the Wiretap portal under Manage Trunks —> Trunks —> Whitelist Management.
Click on the Network tab and choose your default internet facing IP address and set the External IP Configuration with either a static or dynamic IP address.
Step 3: Create a SIP Trunk
Next, we’ll configure our SIP Trunk.
Select the “admin” cog on the bottom left-hand side of the console and select Voice & Chat.
Click Add Trunk.
A pop-up will appear. Select your Country and Provider.
For Provider choose Generic SIP Trunk (IP Based) if you’re using an IP trunk, or Generic VOIP Provider (Registration) if you’re using a registration trunk.
Give your trunk a name and default route.
Check the box that says Create an outbound rule for this SIP Trunk.
Under Account Details, input your Main Trunk Number.
If you’re using a registration trunk:
In the Authentication ID field, input the User ID created when you created your trunk on the Wiretap portal.
In the Authentication password field, input the password generated when you created your trunk.
From the Type of authentication dropdown, select Register/Account based.
If you’re using an IP trunk:
Leave the Authentication ID and Authentication password fields blank.
From the Type of authentication dropdown, select Do not require - IP based.
Under Server Details, in the Registrar/Server field, input the SRV record.
For v1 Trunks: srv.global.core-trunk.com
For v2.2 Trunks: srv.globalsbc.core-trunk.com
In the Port field, input “0” and check the box that says Auto discovery.
Step 3: Apply Changes
Select Save.
Add Outbound Rules, Users, Departments and Ring Groups accordingly.
